Planning a day at SBR Motorsports Park should be almost as much fun as getting behind the wheel. Whether you’re visiting for the first time, reserving a rental kart, or organizing a private event, we’ve gathered the most common questions about racing at SBR in one place. Find information about reservations and arrival times, age and height requirements, what to wear, safety equipment, weather policies, parking and facility amenities, along with details about rental karting and group events. Our goal is to help you know what to expect before you arrive so you can spend less time figuring out the details and more time enjoying your day at the track.

Before You Visit

Do I need a reservation?

No, but reservations are recommended to guarantee your spot, especially on weekends and during special events.

Can I just walk in?

Yes! Walk-ins are welcome, but availability is first come, first served.

What if I'm running late?

Please call us if you’re running late. We may be able to accommodate you, but we cannot guarantee your scheduled session.

How early should I arrive?

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled session.

Is there parking?

Yes. Rental guests should use the main customer parking lot near the entrance. Test & Tune participants may park in the paddock with their equipment. Please do not park in staff parking or block the paddock lanes, which are used for track access.

Are restrooms available?

Yes. Portable restrooms are available on-site, including men’s, women’s, and ADA-accessible facilities.

Is the facility ADA accessible?

SBR Motorsports Park strives to accommodate all guests whenever possible. Our spectator area and facilities are accessible, though please note that portions of the property, including the parking area, are gravel and dirt.

Guests requiring accessible parking or van access are encouraged to contact us before their visit. We are happy to provide parking closer to the facility whenever possible. Due to the design of our rental karts, participation may not be possible for all mobility impairments. If you have specific accessibility questions, please contact us prior to your visit so we can discuss your individual needs.

Can I take photos or videos?

Absolutely—we encourage it!

Feel free to take photos and videos during your visit, and don’t forget to tag us on Facebook and other social media so we can see your experience at the track.

Are drones allowed?

Yes! Recreational drone photography and videography are welcome, provided they are operated safely and do not interfere with racing activities or other guests.

If you’re planning extensive drone operations or commercial filming, please check with our staff first.

Can I bring my RC car or other outdoor toys?

Absolutely! We love seeing families spend the day at SBR.

RC cars and other outdoor activities are welcome in designated areas, provided they do not interfere with track operations or other guests.

Stay tuned—we’re currently planning an RC oval track for next season!

Is smoking allowed?

Smoking is permitted in the customer parking area only.

Vaping is permitted throughout the facility, provided it is done respectfully around other guests. Please dispose of cigarette butts responsibly using the designated receptacles.

Do you sell food or drinks?

Yes! We offer a limited selection of snacks and drinks for purchase, and complimentary bottled water is always available. Feel free to bring your own food, coolers, or even a grill if you’re planning to spend the day with us. We just ask that no alcohol be brought onto the property.

Rental Karting

How old do you have to be?

Rental drivers must be at least 10 years old. Karting School is available for drivers 5 years and older.

Is there a height requirement?

Drivers must be at least 56 inches tall.

Do I need a driver's license?

No.

Will I fit comfortably in the rental karts?

We do not have an official height/weight limit. However, our rental karts use a fixed-size adjustable seat. Depending on your height and body type, some guests may find the seating area tighter than others. If you’re unsure whether the karts will be a comfortable fit, give us a call, we’re happy to answer any questions before your visit.

What should I wear?

Long pants and closed-toe shoes are required. Long hair must be tied back, and loose items should be removed before driving.

Do you provide safety equipment?

Yes. We provide all required safety equipment, including helmets and other protective gear.

Can I bring my own helmet?

Yes. You’re welcome to use your own helmet, provided it fits properly and is in safe, serviceable condition. SBR Motorsports Park reserves the right to inspect and reject any personal safety equipment that appears damaged, improperly fitted, or unsuitable for use.

I've never driven a kart before. Can I still race?

Absolutely! Most of our rental guests are first-time drivers. Our staff will explain everything you need to know before you head onto the track.

I've never done this before. Will someone help me?

Absolutely. Most of our guests are first-time drivers. Our staff will walk you through every step: from getting fitted with safety gear to the driver’s meeting and getting comfortable in the kart. Our goal is to make your first visit fun, safe, and memorable.

How fast do the karts go?

45mph in the straightaway.

How long is a race session?

15 minutes once your group has fully entered the track.

Will I race with experienced drivers?

Rental sessions are organized by experience level whenever possible to provide a safe and enjoyable experience.

Do you race in the rain?

Light rain often doesn’t stop the fun! Severe weather, lightning, or unsafe track conditions may result in delays or cancellations.

What happens if bad weather closes the track?

Are waivers required?

Yes. Every driver must complete a waiver before participating.

Private Events

Can we reserve the whole facility?

Yes. Private events may reserve exclusive use of the facility during your scheduled event. Reservations are subject to track availability, require a 10% deposit, and must meet the minimum event requirements.

Can we decorate?

Absolutely! You’re welcome to decorate for your event. We simply ask that all decorations be removed and the area cleaned up before your group departs or before the track closes for the day.

Can we combine racers of different experience levels?

Yes. Our Race Director will work with your group to create race sessions that provide the safest and most enjoyable experience for everyone.

How many races are included?

Private events are reserved by time, not by the number of races. During your reserved event, your group has exclusive use of the track, and drivers are welcome to participate in as many race sessions as time allows. Session frequency depends on your group size, race lengths, and normal breaks between sessions.

Can large groups be split into multiple race sessions?

Absolutely. Large groups are routinely divided into multiple sessions so everyone has the opportunity to race while keeping sessions safe and enjoyable.

Can my group race together?

Yes. We can accommodate up to 6 new drivers or 8 experienced drivers on the track at one time.
